I have spent the better part of the last 4 weeks in Montgomery AL. When I know that I'm going to be in one location for a few weeks it becomes important to find a place that has some creature comforts. I found my comforts at the "Fairfield Inn" in Montgomery. Located just minutes from downtown (see pictures in the sidebar) a nice selection of restaurants and of course a Walmart. They even let you work out at the "World Gym" for free which in turn allows you to eat from the nice selection of restaurants. After the second week there the manager remembered me and made sure I was booked into an interior room with a microwave and a fridge. It's the little things such as that, that can make life on the road bearable.
I even managed to pick up a generic Alabama post card on my way out of town.
